| Objectives: | Development and commercialization of equipment and application of electrodialysis with bipolar membrane (EDBM) is the aim of the process. Equipment should consist of optimized bipolar membrane, pilot membrane module EDBM-Y, pilot unit EDBM-Y and industrial scale module EDBM-II, all of them newly developed, produced and evaluated on real solution. Equipment should be applied for NaOH and H2SO4 production from waster Na2SO4 stream, coming from tailing pond of uranium mine located at state owned company DIAMO branch GEAM. Technology application should be described in terms of size, mass and energy balance and investment and operation costs should be estimated. Commercialization of technology is planned by electrodialysis producers (ex. letter of intent of MEGA company enclosed). |
